Woodhouse TV is Director Nicky Woodhouse and Producer William Johns. Between us we have 25 years of television, online and radio experience across a range of factual, educational and documentary programming. We specialise in promotional documentary, case studies, behind the scenes, event coverage, branded content & video blogging.
We pride ourselves on producing high quality videos that help our clients engage with new audiences through websites and social media platforms. We have made films with HRH The Prince of Wales, Prime Minster David Cameron, FTSE100 CEOs as well as a wide range of charities and third sector organisations.
Nicky Woodhouse
From the age of 13 Nicky was refining her story telling skills self-producing radio shows on community and hospital radio in Birmingham. Graduating from Bournemouth University in 2000 she worked for seven years on factual entertainment and prime time documentary series for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. Her commercial portfolio includes projects for AOL, Hewlett Packard, Climate Week, Miller, Smirnoff, British Heart Foundation and Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle blog Goop amongst others.
In 2007 she became the first in-house Producer/ Director in the Conservative Party’s history self shooting and directing “Webcameron” for David Cameron until he became Prime Minster in May 2010. Webcameron’s style of short, regular video blogs emailed out to supporters changed the way politician’s around the world communicated with the public and has had over 4 million channel views on You Tube.
She is keen surfer and her surf film, “Fluid Juice” polled the highest online votes in shorts submissions to the London Surf Film Festival in 2011.
William Johns
William Johns is an accomplished producer with hundreds of hours of broadcast, education and corporate programmes to his name. After starting his career making broadcast documentaries in Australia he moved to the UK in 2002 to make programmes for BBC Learning, The Discovery Channel and Teachers TV.
In 2007 he won an IVCA Gold Award for Best Educational Film for a programme he produced for the Department of Health.
William’s strengths are education, training and cross platform video and he is an experienced location producer working on a significant body of international projects in Australia, China, the US, Thailand, Jordan, Brazil, India and Africa.
